The World's Smallest SSD –SanDisk 64GB iSSD

As the top memory module manufacturer, SanDisk is required to have several world’s astounding product. They’ve set some milestones and claimed some world’s title already. However, that doesn’t mean they have to stop it right there. Recently, SanDisk has rolled out another World’s title claimer, which is the so called “World’s Smallest Solid State Drive” the iSSD!

SanDisk iSSD has been claimed as the first smallest 64GB SSD, that might not be coming in an external or internal interface. It’s probably will be soldered straight onto a motherboard, giving the upcoming motherboard a vast storage option and eliminate the need of using internal hard drive. This also mean that the future motherboard is likely to have the OS and drivers installed directly onto the iSSD to save hassles of including separated CD/DVD for the drivers themselves.

SanDisk iSSD is going to be available from the smallest capacity at 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It has the reading speed of 160MB/s and writing data at 100MB/s. It’s not too shabby. Can’t wait to see who’s the first to included iSSD onto their new motherboard.

Ow-some!!
