4 GB RAM is really not much nowadays, you should go for 8 or even 16 GB (RAM is rather cheap compared to good processors). A Core i7 with only 4 GB RAM would be a really awkward, unbalanced configuration. 8GB RAM with as good a processor you can afford (i5 or i7, whatever, but a reasonably fast one) is probably a better choice whatever the application you have in mind.

says that Win7 Professional only goes up to 192Gb...
